• Session Cookie: If you sign in to the community forum, we set a session cookie to keep you authenticated. This cookie is essential for the forum to function.
• Cookie Preferences: We store your cookie consent choice in local storage.

How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you on the community forum via magic link emails
• To display your posts with your chosen display name
• To respond to contact form messages
• To moderate community content and ensure a safe environment

AI Chat Assistant

Our AI-powered chat assistant (the “Nature Island Assistant”) processes your questions to provide information about the Dominica airport project. Chat conversations are not stored permanently and are not linked to any personal identity. The assistant is powered by Google Gemini.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data with:

• Resend: Our email delivery provider, to send magic link and contact notification emails.
• DonorBox: For processing donations.
• Google: For AI chat functionality via the Gemini API.
• Vercel / Turso: For hosting and database services.

Data Retention

• Forum accounts and posts are retained as long as the forum operates.
• Magic link tokens expire after 15 minutes and are marked as used.
• Contact form messages are delivered via email and not stored in our database.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your forum account and posts
• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Withdraw from the forum at any time by signing out

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, secure session cookies, and hashed authentication tokens. However, no system is perfectly secure. Please do not share sensitive personal information through the forum or chat.
